Book your consultation
The consultation is a direct conversation with an attorney. We use a short questionnaire to prepare. During the meeting, the attorney discusses the information available, explains options that may apply, and identifies anything that needs further review. A 30-minute consultation may not resolve every issue.
Initial consultation: $150 (30 minutes). You pay after the consultation, using a secure payment link we’ll send you. If you hire us within the following 60 days, we credit that payment toward your flat representation fee. If your consultation is about VAWA, a U visa, or a T visa, you can ask for a reduced fee of $75: message us on WhatsApp or call (703) 344-7314 before booking.
Book at least 48 hours in advance. After a preliminary conflict check, we’ll send the questionnaire through a contact method you have authorized as safe. Complete it at least 24 hours before your consultation. You can write “I don’t know” or “I’d prefer to discuss this privately” and ask for help. If it isn’t completed in time, we’ll help you reschedule at no cost.
Use WhatsApp or another contact method only if it is safe for you. You do not need to describe abuse to request the reduced consultation fee.
Visia doesn’t handle immigration court, detention, or asylum cases. If a current immigration court case is confirmed before your consultation, we’ll cancel it and share resources for finding help. You won’t be charged for a consultation that doesn’t take place.
Before your consultation
- Information you share to consult with the attorney is protected by professional confidentiality duties, including when Visia does not take your case, subject to the exceptions in applicable rules.
- Share what you feel safe discussing. You can say you are unsure or ask to speak privately. The attorney will explain if more information is needed to evaluate an issue.
- If you have relevant documents, have them available if it is safe to do so. You do not need to send them in advance unless Visia specifically requests them through an agreed safe method.
Booking a consultation doesn’t mean Visia has agreed to handle your immigration case. Representation in your case beyond the consultation requires a separate written agreement. The consultation itself is a separate, limited legal service with an attorney-client relationship for that service.
